Puppies with Momma

By request, here are pictures of the puppies with their momma. The puppies are up and about and have their eyes open and everything. Such a cute stage!

The Puppies Are Here

They are a week old now and they are doing fine. This picture was taken when they were just a few days old though. They aren't all in the picture, but they all pretty much look like this.

She started giving birth at about 9pm. It took about an hour between the first and second pup, but then she had 6 more after that within the next two hours. It was amazing. We ended up going to sleep because we thought she was done and it was already 12:00, but she had a couple more after that.

Mama dog is doing a great and she's a good mommy too!

Deja Vu

It's more than deja vu, I know I've been in this place before... I hear squabbling in the next room and go to see what it's all about. There are toys scattered across the floor and the cause of the ruckus is a lively game of tug of war. There is one slight difference, it's not our children it's our puppies. It's been a lot of fun and it reminds me of when my kids were little. I'm a bit sad as the little darlings are ready to go off to their new homes now.
